Garfunkels Mega Meaty Pizza

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 1⁄2 tsp active dry yeast
- 1⁄4 tsp sugar
- 11⁄4 cups plain flour
- 3⁄4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- TOPPINGS
- 1⁄2 cup pizza sauce
- 11⁄2 cups mozzarella, grated
- 1 tbsps Parmesan cheese, grated
- 6 rashers Garfunkels Streaky Bacon
- 5 slices Garfunkels Picnic Ham
- 6 slices Garfunkels Salami
- 1 Garfunkels Smoked Chicken Breast, finely chopped
- 6-7 black olives, pitted
- 1 tsp thyme,finely chopped
- salt and freshly ground pepper
- barbecue sauce, for serving
Method
- Prepare dough by combining warm water, heated to 50°C, with yeast and sugar. Stir to dissolve and allow to prove for 10 minutes or until frothy.
- In the bowl of a food mixer, add the flour and salt. With mixer running on low, slowly add the yeastmixture. Increase speed, adding olive oil, if needed. Mix until a ball forms, pulling away from the sides of the bowl. Transfer to a greased bowl. Cover and allow to rise in a warm location until doubled roughly 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, cook the Garfunkels bacon until crispy.
- Preheat oven to 240°C. Grease a baking tray with olive oil. Shape dough to desired size. Spoon the pizza sauce over the dough. Sprinkle with the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella. Add the meat toppings and the olives. Season with thyme, salt and pepper. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until desired crispness is reached. Serve warm with barbecue sauce drizzled over the top.
